One of my favorite sayings is: ”we measure our age by the years behind us, but we measure our youth by the dreams before us.”
That saying has kept me feeling young. (Well, that and stating my age in base-16, where I am only 32.) I have seen its truth in action–a dear friend just spent her 60th birthday climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
But today what makes me feel young is that I am embarking on the realization of a dream I have had pretty much since I learned to read–I am writing a book. I just signed with Manning Publications to write a book about WebMatrix 2. It’s not my first professional publication, but it is my first book, and I am as excited at 50 (er, I mean, 3216) as I could have been at 20. Maybe more so, because I am old enough to know how much it means to never lose faith in your dreams.
I will be posting here as I write the book, and looking forward to any comments you have about topics you want me to be sure to include, questions that you want answered, techniques you’d like to understand. In short, where are your headaches? I’m putting together a whole book of pain-killers!
